The Finale was held on Saturday, November 7, 2009, at Joe Louis Arena.  A near capacity crowd was present in Detroit to witness the top church gospel choirs in America competing for a chance to become the best church choir in America.]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<a href="  " target="_blank"><img src="http://www.detroitgospel.com/E-Blasts/images/VerizonCover-2008-175.jpg" align="left"/></a>Congratulations to ACME Baptist Church of Chicago, IL. The Voices of ACME Choir won the title of "The Best Choir in America" at the first "How Sweet The Sound" choir competition finale in Atlanta, GA, on Nov. 8, 2008. The event was sponsored by Verizon Wireless and toured eleven cities (including Detroit), selecting the top choirs from each, before winding up in Atlanta for the finale. As the top winner, Voices of ACME took home the top prize of $25,000. Congratulations also goes out to Detroit's winner, Burning Bush International Ministries of Ypsilanti, MI, whose choir came in 2nd overall.]]></description>
