Dr. Janet Clack-Mays was a wife, mother, educator, minister, and native Detroiter. She was employed by the Detroit Board of Education for almost 30 years, and was a 32 year member of Greater Grace Temple where she was part of the Ministerial Staff under Bishop Charles H. Ellis. DetroitGospel.com expresses its condolences to the family and friends of the late Dr. Brazeal W. Dennard, who passed away on July 5, 2010, at the age of 81. The longtime Detroiter contributed so much to the preservation of gospel music in Detroit and nationally. He was a singer, educator, choral director, and musical arranger, and founder of the Brazeal Dennard Chorale.

The funeral service will be at the Hartford Memorial Baptist Church in Detroit, MI on Friday, July 9, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. The Family Hour is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. A public viewing will also be at the church on Thursday, July 8, from 4 - 8 p.m.
