The Unity Baptist Church family will celebrate Dr. Dorgan J. Needom’s 50 years of outstanding service as Minister of Music with a Celebration Fellowship Banquet at 5:00pm on Sunday, September 30, 2007. It has been reported by many through the media, internet and others that Dr. Rance Allen of THE RANCE ALLEN GROUP suffered a heart attack over the wekend. According to his personal assistant and staff, those are just rumors.

On Saturday, June 30, 2007, friends, family, and fans gathered at Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God In Christ in Detroit, Michigan, for the home going service for the legendary William "Bill" Moss, Sr.
Congrats to The Clark Sisters whose new CD "Live…One Last Time" debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Gospel Chart overtaking their cousin - J Moss whose latest release "V2…" who was at the top of the Gospel chart last week.

We heard that Darius Twyman might be releasing a new CD soon. Darius is a favorite here at DetroitGospel.com. We hope to feature him on the site very soon.

Lisa Scott-Bailey, recording artist and songwriter has traveled the United States and Europe as a psalmist and praise and worship leader. She first began vocal studies through a series of voice scholarships and awards in her teen years.

Darcell has just released her debut gospel CD entitled "Joy Is Better." She began singing professionally at the age of 18. Darcell was a member of Motor City Mass (produced by Fred Hammond), which released 2 albums. She also sang background for gospel recording artist David Ivey and has traveled throughout the United States and abroad to London, England. Darcell also recently starred in the hit gospel play "The Night I Fell In Love" where she played the lead female role of Hope Hunter.

Inspire is an inspirational poet who was born in Detroit, Michigan. She was the Director of Poetry for Gospel Music Magazine under Maurice and Candace Hunter. Inspire is a member of Praise Temple Church of God under the leadership of Bishop Anthony Johnson and First Lady Wanda Faye Johnson. She is the Vice President of Sisters, Sisters, and Sisters in Christ Women's Ministry. She has been involved with many outreach programs such as Lahser Hills Nursing Home Ministry and the YWCA Interim House Women's Shelter for battered and abused women and children. She is also a member of Poetic Justice for God's Prison Ministry under the leadership of Sis. Estelle Humphrey.
