The new site has been out there for a couple of days, and we've gotten nothing but positive feedback. Of course there are more things we want to do with the site, but we're pretty happy with this next phase.

A special thank you to everyone who took the time to email or call us with feedback. To God be the Glory!

Here we go again...

This is the third go-round for the DetroitGospel.com website. When we originally launched in February of 2004, the site was one of the first that our web development firm, FruitfulWorks, Inc., had designed. It only took a few weeks of managing it to know that the design wasn't going to cut it, and we redesigned the site a couple of months later.

About a year ago we took a hard look at the site and decided we had to go to the next level with it. As the content grew, it became more and more difficult to update it and to keep it fresh.

Fast forward to July 16, 2007. On top of it being Renee's birthday (DetroitGospel.com producer), it is the launch of DetroitGospel.com 3.0. This new site is driven by a content management system (CMS) that will allow us to do much more with a lot less work.

It's been a lot of work getting here, but with God's help we've made it! We think it has been worth the effort, and we hope you do too.

I know one thing, even if you don't like the site, you've got to love the new theme song by Brandon Holland of "Tha Stuntmen" and those tight harmonies sung by 4Ever Grateful. My 6-year old daugher, Faith, has been singing it around the house, and each time I bring up the home page around her she says, "Play it again, Mommy!" I wonder if we can get a full-length single of it cut? :-)

I'd love to know what you think about the new design. You can email me at dgeditor@detroitgospel.com.
